About This Project

A striking 3-bed detached home designed to make the most of the elevated position overlooking a long-since retired slate quarry near Stamford. The glazed feature window to the front elevation allows the occupiers to benefit from these great views whether in the living room at ground floor level or working in the library on the first floor landing.

This modern-looking design is actually constructed using traditional oak-framing methods but with a modern twist with clean connections and oak planed and sanded to a perfectly smooth and contemporary finish.

The render sets off the beautiful feature window, whilst the rear elevation features western red cedar to break up what would otherwise be a quite featureless side of the house. This cladding blends in with the detached oak-framed garage nicely.
